An Exhibit Featuring Collaborative Projects Between Writers and Artists, on display at the Houston Public Library, 500 McKinney St., Houston, TX, until 12/31/18.

Experience “Map of Human Distance” a collage map and literary exploration by artist Lee Steiner and myself. Read excerpts of my accompanying flash fiction and prose poems. These are featured in the anthology “SPACE,” published by WIVLA. which will available to the public in December, 2018.

 

“My Mother’s Purse:” A Reading      

 

Women writers from the Houston area read flash fiction and poetry at this free reading celebrating what our mother’s carried.

I was thrilled to emcee and read my fiction at the celebration of the release of fellow Approaching Footsteps contributor Holly Lyn Walrath’s debut poetry chapbook, Glimmerglass Girl! This collection of speculative poetry addresses femininity, feminism, and the intersection of womanhood and nature. To celebrate Glimmerglass Girl and Houston’s women writers, a select group of women-identifying writers, including myself, shared our work alongside Holly. Readers and writers alike enjoyed this celebration of women taking risks in their writing hosted by Writespace Houston and Spider Road Press!
